My name is Sara Ferreira. I graduated from Lisbon University in Portugal in 2009 before moving to Edinburgh in 2010 where I have been working as a general dental practitioner.

I am a friendly and enthusiastic person with a great passion for dentistry and perfection. I strive to offer the best standards of care to my patients. Over the years, I have invested in my training with several courses to improve my knowledge and skills, including the Advanced Restorative Dentistry post-graduation certificate at CADE Dental Education in 2014. In 2017 I completed a post-graduation certificate in Dental Sedation and Pain Management at UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London.

I am keen to provide preventative, restorative, aesthetic and minimally invasive dentistry as well as manage anxious patients.

You can expect a warming approach with a complete explanation of treatment options and procedures so that you can make an informed decision about your treatment. I believe that good communication is key in helping you with your oral health and meet your expectations.

When I am not at work, my life is focused on spending quality time with my daughter and husband. I also enjoy travelling to Lisbon to see the rest of the family as well as cooking and going to the cinema.
